Talkuza for Mac

Import notes

Bring your existing notes into Talkuza so dictation, search, and MCP can work with them. Imports never delete the originals.

From Granola

  1. In Granola, open the note → Share → Export (or follow Granola's export docs at docs.granola.ai/help-center/sharing/exporting-notes).
  2. Save the export as Markdown.
  3. In Talkuza → Notes → Import → Granola, choose the file. Titles, dates, and attendees are preserved where Granola exports them.

From Otter

  1. In Otter, open otter.ai/my-notes, select the conversation → Export → TXT or SRT.
  2. In Talkuza → Notes → Import → Otter, choose the file. Speaker labels are kept when the export includes them.

From Markdown / text files

  1. Put your .md or .txt files in one folder (subfolders work too).
  2. In Talkuza → Notes → Import → Markdown / Text, choose the folder.
  3. Each file becomes one note; the filename becomes the title. Front-matter (title:, date:) is read when present.

What imports, and what doesn't

  • Imports: titles, body text, dates, speaker labels (Otter), and basic Markdown formatting.
  • Doesn't import: audio files, images, or app-specific formatting. Audio stays in the original app.
  • Duplicates: importing the same file twice creates one note — Talkuza matches on title + date and skips the copy.

Troubleshooting

  • “No notes found” — check the file is Markdown/TXT/SRT and not a ZIP. Unzip exports first.
  • Garbled characters — re-export as UTF-8. Older exports sometimes use a different encoding.
  • Import is slow — large folders (1,000+ notes) can take a few minutes; leave Talkuza open and it finishes in the background.
